Buddham saranam gacchami
Dhammam saranam gacchami
Sangham saranam gacchami

I go refuge to the supreme buddha.
I go refuge to the supreme Dhamma.
I go refuge to the supreme Sangha.

Duthiyampi Buddham saranam gacchami
Duthiyampi Dhammam saranam gacchami
Duthiyampi Sangham saranam gacchami

For the second time, I go refuge to the supreme buddha.
For the second time, I go refuge to the supreme Dhamma.
For the second time, I go refuge to the supreme Sangha.

Tatiyampi Buddham saranam gacchami
Tatiyampi Dhammam saranam gacchami
Tatiyampi Sangham saranam gacchami

For the third time, I go refuge to the supreme buddha.
For the third time, I go refuge to the supreme Dhamma.
For the third time, I go refuge to the supreme Sangha.
